Heb M&E Begins Work on £8M Tariff Street Residential Development in Manchester
Heb Mechanical & Electrical is proud to announce the commencement of works this month on the Tariff Street Development, a significant Build to Rent scheme in Manchester’s vibrant Northern Quarter. Delivered in partnership with United Living, this project underscores Heb’s expanding footprint in the Northwest and our commitment to supporting the delivery of high-quality, sustainable urban housing.
The development comprises two new residential buildings, 1NQ and Clements, rising to 10 and 12 storeys, respectively. Together, they will offer 261 apartments, each designed with modern living in mind. Residents will benefit from private gardens, roof terraces, and rooftop amenities, enhancing the appeal of city centre living. Additionally, the ground floor will feature two commercial units, contributing to the area's regeneration and vibrancy.

Heb M&E is delivering a comprehensive mechanical and electrical package valued at £8 million. Our scope includes the installation of advanced heating and ventilation systems, energy-efficient lighting, low-voltage power distribution, fire alarms, and life safety systems. In line with our commitment to sustainability, the project integrates smart control technologies and efficient plant design to reduce long-term energy consumption and enhance occupier comfort.
We’re delighted to be on-site and fully mobilised at Tariff Street. Our early engagement during the design and planning phase allowed us to add real value before works even began, and we’re now focused on delivering a high-quality M&E installation that supports the client’s vision for modern city living.
