The 100,000 sq. ft. factory situated at Markham Vale, North Derbyshire is at the heart of the UK motorway network and the industrial park has direct access to the M1 North/South arterial route at Junction 29A.

The factory comprises of three areas for offices, production and storage which have a different set of requirements in terms of M&E Services.

H E Barnes provided full M&E services to the two-storey office area, including VRF heat recovery heating and cooling installations, as well as central warm air heating and ventilations, which was controlled in 20 different zones.

Electrical services included general and emergency lighting, with PIR sensors and photocell detection to reduce energy consumption. Our works included the provision of a 1000kVA sub-station. All base M&E works were fully coordinated and interfaced with an extensive process fit-out. Post-Contract we were employed direct by the Tenant, to extend the gas services to a large printing machine.
