Fire Safety Compliance Works at Manor House

Client:
Sheffield City Council

Heb Group successfully completed essential fire safety compliance works at Manor House assisted living accommodation in Stannington. This project involved critical upgrades, including fire door and alarm replacements, fire stopping, emergency lighting enhancements, and asbestos removal, all conducted in a live environment with 50% occupancy.

Project Details

In collaboration with Sheffield City Council, we undertook the following tasks:

  • Replaced fire doors to enhance safety measures.
  • Installed new fire alarms and upgraded emergency lighting systems.
  • Performed fire stopping to prevent fire spread.
  • Conducted asbestos removal, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Made necessary repairs to all affected areas.

The work was carried out while the building remained 50% occupied, allowing the on-site management team to implement an effective stay-put policy for residents, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the project.

Community Engagement

Our Managing Director, Nigel Pollard, had the pleasure of joining the tenants of Manor House for lunch at The Peacock, the local pub next door. This engagement further strengthened our community ties and demonstrated our commitment to supporting local initiatives.

Client Feedback

One resident shared their experience, stating, "The workmen have been polite, worked quickly on the electrics and alarms, and maintained cleanliness as they moved from flat to flat. We received weekly updates and support throughout the process, and their friendly greetings will be missed.”
