Jet Washing at LIV Students' Accommodation

LIV Student approached Heb Cleaning & Hygiene to undertake a large scale jet washing project to prepare the outdoor communal areas of their student accommodation for the new academic year. With students due to return in just a few days, the project had to be completed swiftly and to a high standard. The outdoor areas, including pathways, courtyards, and seating areas, had become heavily soiled due to several months of accumulated dirt, especially in high traffic zones. These areas required extra care to bring them back to their best condition in time for the new term.

The project presented several unique challenges:

1. Block Paved Surfaces: Many of the outdoor areas were block paved, which posed a particular challenge. The sand between the paving blocks plays a crucial role in maintaining the stability and structure of the paving. Any disturbance to this sand during cleaning could have resulted in uneven surfaces or even damage to the paving itself. Our team needed to ensure a deep clean while preserving the integrity of the block paving.

4. High Traffic Area Focus: Special attention was given to the areas that experienced the highest footfall, such as entrances, walkways, and communal seating areas. We used industrial grade cleaning solutions where necessary, followed by a high pressure wash to ensure a deep clean without damaging surfaces.

Key outcomes included:
